Recently, patent images of this bike have surfaced on the Internet, from which it is being speculated that the BMW F 450 GS can be launched in India in the coming 2-3 months. Due to the partnership of TVS and BMW, the platform of this bike will also be used for other bikes like Norton in the coming time.

BMW F 450 GS Design

The look of the production model is very similar to the concept model. It has the same powerful fuel tank, radiator cover, beak and rear section. However, the open subframe shown in the concept will not be found in the production version. Its look is inspired by BMW’s big bike R 1300 GS, which will come to India in January 2025.

The BMW F 450 GS has a high handlebar, split seat, center foot peg and adjustable controls. Its rider triangle has been made comfortable for long distance riding. This bike is especially for touring, not completely for off-road riding.

BMW F 450 GS Features and Safety

The bike gets a fully LED lighting system, which includes headlight, taillight and turn indicators. Also, it has a large colored TFT display, which comes with Bluetooth connectivity. It is believed that a rotary dial will also be available in it, which will be able to operate the menu of the display. In terms of safety, it gets dual-channel ABS (which can be turned on/off), traction control and different riding modes.

BMW F 450 GS Engine and Performance

The F 450 GS is powered by a 450cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine that produces around 48 bhp of power and 45 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The concept model weighed 175 kg, but the production version may weigh slightly more.

BMW F 450 GS Chassis and Suspension

The bike’s structure is based on a trellis frame and bolt-on subframe. It has USD forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. It gets 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, which can have tubeless tyres. Both wheels have disc brakes.

Who will compete with?

The BMW F 450 GS will be the brand’s entry-level adventure bike in India, replacing the now-discontinued G 310 GS. It will compete with bikes like Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, Honda NX500 and CFMoto 450 MT.
